Balancing Video Quality
Maintaining High Quality Videos with efficient playback time was a challenge due to the inherent trade-off between video quality and file size. High-quality videos demand more data, potentially leading to longer buffering times, especially in areas with slower internet connections.
Video Optimization
Integrated AWS service Elastic Transcoder to provide optimized videos for devices. This service allows video transcoding, which means it can adapt video quality to match the viewer's device and internet speed. It optimizes videos and handles video compression and format conversions.
Payment Gateway Selection
Originally, payments were funneled into a single account and then distributed to creators, which proved to be unreliable. The problems stemmed from the centralization of payments, leading to delays, and an overall lack of transparency in the distribution process.
Payment Integration
To address payment issues, we introduced a Stripe-based solution, allowing each creator to integrate their own account and receive payments directly. This payment integration empowered each creator to seamlessly link their own Stripe account to our system, facilitating direct payment reception.
